Hello!

Welcome to our site, thanks for popping in! We hope you enjoy reading about our travels and that you find some helpful information if you plan on doing a similar trip in the future. ‘We’ are Chris and Ro. A South African, newly married couple who have taken a year off to honeymoon around South and Central America as well as Southeast Asia. We got married in December 2014, quit our jobs in January 2015, sold everything we own and now we are embarking on what we hope will be a journey we can tell our kids about when we are old and grey!

We spent 2014 saving every penny we could. Now we are going to try and stretch that money as far as it can go! On this site you will find the route we have taken, stories along the way as well as tips we have found to be useful. Having researched our destinations basically everyday for the last year, we know what information is useful and also what information isn’t always online but is great to know before embarking on your journey.
